Run a grazing operation? Let's talk.

Rent A Goat receives grazing inquiries from across the country — including areas we don't serve directly. We work with qualified independent operators to route leads, list providers in our global directory, and build territory partnerships.

Ways to work with us

  • Qualified lead referrals — inquiries from your service area, routed to you.
  • Directory listing — inclusion in our public directory of grazing companies.
  • Operating partnership — carry projects under coordinated scheduling in new territories.
  • National lead routing — participate as coverage grows beyond California.

Funding for your operation

Several programs help grazing operators fund equipment and growth: NRCS EQIP cost-shares conservation practices including prescribed grazing infrastructure; Conservation Innovation Grants fund new tools like virtual fencing; the American Lamb Board's AMP grant supports sheep producers adopting technology (applications open through May 1, 2026); and California's SB 675 grant pathway is expanding funding for prescribed-grazing projects statewide.

What we look for

Working herds with professional fencing and herding practice, appropriate insurance, honest project scoping, and good animal care. Government-contracting experience is a plus but not required.

Please note: submitting an application expresses interest only. It does not guarantee approval, listing, leads, or work, and does not create any affiliation, certification, or endorsement until we've completed review and both sides have agreed in writing.
